Daniel: Head Groomer
I'm Daniel, Head Groomer and dog lover. I've worked as a Dog Groomer since 2017, and have amassed a few certificates along the way. I'm calm by nature, which helps your dog stay relaxed throughout their appointment. I'm also partial to the odd game or cuddle, if they ask nicely.
I've always been dog mad; I love working with every single breed, size & personality and every day I'm grateful that my job allows me to work with the best possible clients!
Before training as a groomer, I started my career in the Army, where I worked for 7 years. Then I decided it was time for a change, but I wanted to do something I loved; I just wasn't quite sure what that was. So I wrote a list, whittled down my likes & dislikes and decided it had to be something to do with animals; ideally dogs. I signed up for a dog grooming taster day at The Animal Barn in Wetherby, Yorkshire and the rest is history. Having completed my training, I worked at Short Bark and Sides in Meanwood for several years, I now work from home in Leeds.
Dolly: Salon Queen
Delores DeSouza (we wish we were joking) is the undisputed toothless Queen of the Salon. Often seen gumming a treat into submission or sleeping upside down in the most unladylike fashion, but she's 12; we'll let her off.
Pickle: Chief of Cheekiness
Piccalilli Rotton is our tiniest rescue Boson Terrier; but what she lacks in size (and functioning legs) she makes up for in HUGE personality. And farts. And naps.
Pickle was abused as a puppy and has a damaged back leg as a result, but she's the friendliest, happiest and often, fastest dog you'll meet.
Dora: Head of Security
The youngest & loudest of the pack, Dora-ble Rotton is always vocal and ensures the safety of our site at all times... unless she's found an old sock (the best toy in the world), in which case we're on our own.
We rescued Dora in summer 2019 as a timid girl who was very nervous and needed some serious training to regain her confidence. We'll always have work to do with her, but she's a much happier & more outgoing girl now.
